Ingredients/Components
- tomato juice - 1 c
- medium onion, chopped - 1/2 item
- corn - 1 c
- catfish fresh dressed - 2 3
- slices bacon fat back - 2 item
How to make catfish stew:
Cover catfish with water; add bacon and cook until done. Remove fish from liquid. Cool. To the liquid, add corn, tomato juice and onion. Remove bones from fish. Add flaked fish to liquids. Cook until thick, stirring constantly, on low heat. Season to taste. Makes 4 to 6 servings.Recipe categories: Soups & stews, Low Carb, Stew.
