Macaroni casserole
Ingredients/Components
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
- chili powder - 1/2 tsp
- salt and pepper
- grated Cheddar cheese
- tomato juice - 2 c
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- dry oregano - 1/2 tsp
- elbow macaroni, uncooked
- lean meat, ground - 1 lb
How to make macaroni casserole:
Heat oven to 350°. Melt butter in large frying pan to heat and add macaroni to coat. Add beef and cook until brown. Pour off liquid, if any. Pour on tomato juice and bring to a boil. Mix in next four ingredients. Pour in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Bake 20 minutes or until tender, covered. Remove cover and put cheese on top and bake 10 minutes, uncovered.Recipe categories: For large groups, Side dish, Pasta, rice and grains.
