Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- butter or margarine - 1/2 c
- evaporated milk - 2/3 c
- dash of salt - 1 item
- box brown sugar - 1 lb
How to make caramel frosting:
Combine sugar, milk, butter and salt. Bring to a full boil, stirring occasionally. Boil to soft ball stage. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla. Beat until thick and creamy. Spread on cake.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Cake fillings and frostings.
