Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- brown sugar - 1 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- light corn syrup - 1/4 c
- peanuts - 1-1/2 c
- popped popcorn - 3 qt
How to make caramel corn:
In 2 quart casserole, combine butter, brown sugar, corn syrup and salt. Microwave on high 3-4 minutes, stirring every minute until comes to a boil. Microwave 2 minutes more. Then stir in baking soda, vanilla and nuts. Place popped corn in a large brown paper bag. Pour syrup over popped corn. Stir well. Microwave on high 1 minute. Shake well. Microwave on high 1 more minute. Pour into container and stir to separate. Store in air tight container.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Snacks, American.
