Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- brown sugar - 1 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- white Karo syrup - 1/4 c
- popcorn approximately - 5 qt
How to make caramel corn:
Cook first 4 ingredients in microwave on High, about 2 minutes; stir. Bring to boiling; cook 3 minutes. Take out and add soda. Pour over popcorn in double grocery bag and shake. Close loosely. Cook on High 1 minute. Shake bag; cook 1 minute. Shake; cook 60 seconds. Shake; cook 30 seconds. Done. You may add nuts and other goodies if you like. Cooking time may vary depending on microwave.
