Ingredients/Components

  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • brown sugar - 2 c
  • butter - 1 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • popped corn - 7 qt
  • white syrup - 1/2 c
  • dark syrup - 1/2 c

How to make caramel corn:

Mix sugar, butter sand syrups in a saucepan. Cook 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add soda, salt and vanilla. Mix well. Put popped corn in large pan. Pour mixture over corn and mix real well. Bake in 200° oven for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Add nuts, if desired.
