Candied pecans
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1 Tbsp
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- water - 1 Tbsp
- margarine - 2 Tbsp
- pecan halves - 1 lb
- egg white - 1 item
How to make candied pecans:
Melt margarine at 275° in a jelly roll pan.Mix egg white and water until it forms soft peaks. Add pecans and mix until well coated. Mix together the sugar, cinnamon and salt. Add about 1/3 at a time to the pecans, mixing well each time. Spread in pan and bake at 275° for 45 minutes, turning every 15 minutes. Cool and put in containers.
