  • sugar - 1 c
  • cinnamon - 1 Tbsp
  • salt - 3/4 tsp
  • water - 1 Tbsp
  • margarine - 2 Tbsp
  • pecan halves - 1 lb
  • egg white - 1 item

How to make candied pecans:

Melt margarine at 275° in a jelly roll pan.

Mix egg white and water until it forms soft peaks. Add pecans and mix until well coated. Mix together the sugar, cinnamon and salt. Add about 1/3 at a time to the pecans, mixing well each time. Spread in pan and bake at 275° for 45 minutes, turning every 15 minutes. Cool and put in containers.
