  • salt - 1 tsp
  • brown sugar - 2 Tbsp
  • vinegar - 2 Tbsp
  • shortening - 1 item
  • dry mustard - 1 tsp
  • can pork and beans - 1 item
  • ketchup - 1/2 c
  • onion, chopped - 1 c
  • can kidney beans - 1 item
  • can cannellini beans - 1 item
  • or more cloves garlic, chopped - 1 item

How to make calico bean bake:

Cook onion and garlic in shortening. Mix onion and garlic and the rest of the ingredients in a 1 1/2-quart casserole. Bake at 350° for 1 1/2 hours.
