Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1 tsp
  • vinegar - 2 Tbsp
  • mustard - 1 tsp
  • cup brown sugar - 3/4 item
  • can kidney beans - 1 item
  • cup chopped onion - 1 item
  • cup ketchup - 1/2 item
  • can lima beans - 1 item
  • large can pork and beans - 1 item
  • pound ground beef, browned - 1 item
  • pound bacon, cooked and cut up - 1/2 item

How to make calico bean bake:

After browning the beef and cooking the bacon, drain fat, then mix all of the ingredients together. Pour into a 9x13 baking dish or into a crockpot. If baking in the oven, bake for 40 minutes at 350 degrees. In the crock pot, on low for 2 to 3 hours. It is much juicier if done in the crockpot. This is great as a meal by itself, or as a side dish at a B-B-Q.
