Ingredients/Components
- milk - 2/3 c
- salt - 2 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- pepper - 1/3 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/3 c
- ground beef - 1/2 lb
- can tomato soup - 1 item
- cooked rice - 2/3 c
- ground pork - 1/2 lb
- cabbage head - 1 item
How to make cabbage rolls:
Mix all ingredients except cabbage and tomato soup; set aside. Boil head of cabbage in salted water 5 to 7 minutes. Separate leaves remove heavy vein from each leaf. Fold leaf around 2 tablespoon meat filling. Place in greased casserole. Cover with undiluted tomato soup and bake in 350° oven 1 1/4 hours. Makes 12 rolls. Can be cooked in pressure cooker on 15 pounds for 10 minutes.Hint: You can use all ground beef with small amount of sage for flavor.
