Cabbage rolls



  • ground beef - 2 lbs
  • pepper to taste - 1 item
  • salt to taste - 1 item
  • small cans tomato sauce - 2 item
  • large cabbage head - 1 item
  • chili powder to taste - 1 item
  • bell pepper chopped - 1 item
  • onion chopped - 1 item
  • can cheddar cheese soup - 1 item
  • cup minute rice uncooked - 1/2 item

How to make cabbage rolls:

Wilt cabbage head in boiling water, drain, and cool. Peel leaves carefully. Brown meat along with onion and bell pepper. Drain well. Season with salt, pepper and chili powder. Add tomato sauce, cheese soup and uncooked rice. Simmer 10-15 minutes. Fill cabbage leaves with portion of sauce. Roll up and fasten with toothpick. Place in casserole dish. Pour remaining sauce on top. These can be frozen for later use. Seal with foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Yield: 1 dozen.
