- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- salt
- water
- garlic powder - 1/4 tsp
- ground beef - 2 lb
- oregano - 2 tsp
- basil - 1/2 tsp
- black pepper - 1/2 tsp
- can tomato juice - 1 oz
- rice - 2 c
- thyme - 1 Tbsp
- pork sausage - 1 lb

How to make cabbage rolls:
Cook rice in water with salt. Combine tomato juice, sugar, pepper, garlic powder and oregano. Pour into large roaster. Cut out core of cabbage and cook in kettle to half cover cabbage. Leaves can be cut away and removed as they get tender.Mix beef, sausage and seasonings together and add rice. Mix well. Shape meat mix into rolls to fit into cabbage leaves and roll up. Place in tomato juice and bake at 400° for 1 hour. Reduce heat to 300° and bake for 1 hour.
