Ingredients/Components
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- flour
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- plus 2 Tbsp - 1/4 c
- plus 1 tsp - 1 Tbsp
How to make buttermilk biscuits:
Combine flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Mix well. Cut in Crisco with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal. Add buttermilk. Stir until dry ingredients are moistened. Turn out on floured surface. Knead 3 to 4 times. Roll dough to 1/2-inch thickness. Place on greased baking sheet. Bake at 450° for 10 minutes.Recipe categories: Breads, Breakfast, Rolls/biscuits.
