Butter pecan cheesecake
Ingredients/Components
- graham cracker crumbs
- sugar - 1/3 c
- eggs - 3 item
- pkg - 3 oz
- vanilla extract - 1 tsp
- finely chopped pecans - 1/2 c
- butter flavoring - 1/2 tsp
- cartons sour cream - 2 oz
- butter or oleo, melted - 1/3 c
- finely chopped pecans, toasted - 1 c
How to make butter pecan cheesecake:
Combine cracker crumbs, sugar, butter and pecans. Reserve 1/3 cup of the mixture. Firmly press remaining mixture into bottom of a 9-inch spring-form pan. Beat cream cheese with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Gradually add 1 1/2 cups sugar, mixing well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add sour cream and flavoring. Mix well. Stir in 1 cup pecans. Spoon into prepared pan on top of crust. Sprinkle with reserved crumb mixture. Bake at 475° for 10 minutes. Reduce temperature to 300° and bake for 50 minutes.
