Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- grated carrot - 1/2 c
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- slivered almonds, toasted - 3 Tbsp
- finely chopped celery - 1/2 c
- red pepper - 1/4 tsp
- ready to serve chicken broth - 2 c
- brown rice uncooked - 1 c
- finely sliced green onions - 1/4 c
How to make brown rice pilaf:
Bring broth to a boil in a heavy saucepan; stir in rice and remaining ingredients except almonds. Cover; reduce heat and simmer 25 to 30 minutes until liquid is absorbed. Stir in almonds.Recipe categories: Side dish, Rice, Brown rice.
