Ingredients/Components

  • milk - 2 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 3 Tbsp
  • boiling water
  • pepper - 1/8 tsp
  • garlic salt - 1 Tbsp
  • chopped onion - 2 Tbsp
  • shredded Cheddar cheese - 2 c
  • chicken bouillon cubes - 2 item
  • melted butter or margarine - 3 Tbsp
  • thyme - 1 Tbsp
  • cooked, chopped broccoli - 1 c

How to make broccoli cheese soup:

In a pot, cook onion in butter until tender. Blend in flour and seasonings. Add milk, stirring constantly. Cook slowly until thick. Add cheese; cook until melted. Remove from heat. In a cup, dissolve bouillon cubes in boiling water. Stir into cheese mixture. Blend in broccoli. Cook until heated. Serves 6.
