Broccoli cheese soup
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 3 Tbsp
- boiling water
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- garlic salt - 1 Tbsp
- chopped onion - 2 Tbsp
- shredded Cheddar cheese - 2 c
- chicken bouillon cubes - 2 item
- melted butter or margarine - 3 Tbsp
- thyme - 1 Tbsp
- cooked, chopped broccoli - 1 c
How to make broccoli cheese soup:
In a pot, cook onion in butter until tender. Blend in flour and seasonings. Add milk, stirring constantly. Cook slowly until thick. Add cheese; cook until melted. Remove from heat. In a cup, dissolve bouillon cubes in boiling water. Stir into cheese mixture. Blend in broccoli. Cook until heated. Serves 6.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Cheese, Soups & stews.
