Breakfast casserole
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- stick margarine - 1/2 item
- shredded sharp Cheddar cheese - 1 c
- pepper to taste - 1 item
- eggs, beaten well - 6 item
- sausage - 1 lb
- slices white bread, crust removed and cut into small pieces - 8 item
How to make breakfast casserole:
Cook sausage well and drain. Melt butter in 9 x 13-inch Pyrex dish or casserole dish. Sprinkle breadcrumbs over butter. Sprinkle sausage over breadcrumbs. Sprinkle cheese over sausage. Beat eggs, milk, salt and pepper well. Pour egg mixture over cheese. Chill for 8 hours or overnight. Bake at 350° for 40 to 50 minutes.Recipe categories: Breakfast, Casseroles, One Dish meal.
