Ingredients/Components

  • flour - 1/4 c
  • butter - 1/4 c
  • pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • dry red wine - 1 c
  • parsley - 1/4 c
  • sliced carrots - 1/2 c
  • mushrooms - 1 c
  • consomme - 2 c
  • thyme - 3/4 tsp
  • small onions - 12 item
  • garlic - 1/2 tsp
  • beef roast - 2 lb

How to make beef burgundy:

Cut meat in 1-inch cubes. Roll in flour and brown in butter. Stir in any remaining flour and cook 1 minute. Add garlic, parsley, carrots, consomme and first cup of wine. Cover and simmer 1 to 2 hours until meat is tender.

Peel onions. Add and cook covered an additional 30 minutes. Add thyme, pepper, mushrooms and wine. Warm for 5 minutes. Serve over noodles.
