Chicken casserole
Ingredients/Components
- milk
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- water - 1 c
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chopped celery - 2 c
- mayonnaise - 1/2 c
- can cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
- chopped green onions
- cooked, chopped chicken - 3 c
- herb stuffing mix - 1 pkg
How to make chicken casserole:
Saute onion and celery in 2 tablespoons butter; spread 1/2 herb dressing mix in a greased 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Heat 1/2 cup butter in 1 cup water and pour over mixture. Mix chicken, sauteed onions and celery, mayonnaise, salt and pepper. Spread over crumb mixture in baking dish. Blend eggs and milk and pour over mixture. Cover and refrigerate overnight.Remove from refrigerator 1 hour before baking. Spread soup over casserole and sprinkle remaining herb stuffing on top. Bake 1 hour at 350°.
