Chicken and dumplings
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1/2 c
- flour - 1/3 c
- water
- oil - 2 Tbsp
- self-rising flour
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- sage - 1/4 tsp
- parsley - 1 Tbsp
- chicken bouillon cubes - 2 item
- chicken - 1 item
- bay leaves - 2 item
- thyme - 1 tsp
- garlic - 1/4 tsp
How to make chicken and dumplings:
Dumplings:1 1/2 c. self-rising flour1/2 c. milk2 Tbsp. oil In a large pot, combine water and chicken with seasonings. Bring to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer 2 hours. Remove chicken and cut into bite size pieces. Add flour and 1 cup water to mixture. Return chicken. Cook and stir until thick and bubbly.Make dumplings and drop from tablespoon into boiling water. Simmer over low heat until a toothpick inserted into dumplings comes out clean.
