Beef brisket
Ingredients/Components
- instant coffee - 1 Tbsp
- paprika - 1/2 tsp
- garlic powder - 1/2 1
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- chopped parsley - 2 Tbsp
- large onion, sliced - 1 item
- beef bouillon cubes - 2 item
- carrot, shredded - 1 item
- V-8 juice - 1 c
- boneless brisket of beef - 3 4
How to make beef brisket:
Place brisket, fat side up, in roasting pan. Bake, uncovered, for 30 minutes at 450°. Remove from oven. Cover generously, in this order, with garlic powder, pepper, paprika, instant coffee, carrot, onion, parsley and bouillon cubes (dissolved in juice). Cover pan. Return to oven; bake at 250° for 2 1/2 hours, or until tender, basting occasionally. Remove from oven; refrigerate overnight. Slice meat across the grain. Return to pan with juices.To serve, heat at 325° for 45 minutes.
Note: After slicing, divide into dinner-sized portions with juices and freeze in small containers for later use.
