  • packed brown sugar - 3/4 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • water - 1 c
  • garlic powder - 1 tsp
  • pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1/2 c
  • mustard
  • minced onion - 1 tsp
  • liquid smoke - 1/4 c
  • white vinegar - 2 Tbsp
  • beef brisket - 6 lb
  • Add remaining ingredients to beef
  • meat juice, take fat off - 1 item

How to make beef barbecue:

Put brisket in roasting pan. Add remaining ingredients to beef. Bake at 275° for 5 to 6 hours. Reserve 1 cup juice. Let meat cool and refrigerate.Sauce:1 (44 oz.) bottle Heinz ketchup meat juice, take fat off3/4 c. packed brown sugar1/2 c. Worcestershire sauce2 Tbsp. white vinegar1 1/2 tsp. mustard1 tsp. salt1/2 tsp. garlic powder1/2 tsp. pepper Mix all ingredients together. Slice meat thin against the grain. Pour sauce over meat and put in crock-pot on high until barbecue bubbles. Turn to low and cook for 4 to 5 hours. Serve on kaiser rolls.
