Ingredients/Components
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- tomatoes - 1 c
- medium onion, sliced thin - 1 item
- water, more if needed - 3 c
- pinto beans *
- beef sausage, cut in 1-inch pieces - 1/2 lb
How to make bean soup:
*White beans or limas may be used.Rinse and soak beans overnight. Rinse well next day with cold water. Place beans and other ingredients in crock-pot. Cook all day on low heat. Serve with corn muffins and green salad.
