Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- shortening - 1/3 c
- nuts - 1/2 c
- sifted all-purpose flour
- mashed ripe banana about 2 - 1 c
How to make banana nut bread:
Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs and beat well. Add dry ingredients alternately with banana, blending well after each addition. Stir in nuts. Pour into well greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. Bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes until done. Remove from pan; cool on rack. Wrap and store overnight.Recipe categories: Breads, Fruit, Yeast breads.
