Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- pkg - 2 oz
- sour cream - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- all-purpose flour - 1 Tbsp
- butter, melted - 1 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- crushed corn flakes - 1/2 c
- grated sharp cheese - 1/2 c
- freshly grated onion or 1 tsp - 1 tsp
How to make green bean casserole:
Preheat oven to 350°. Cook and drain green beans. In a large saucepan, combine butter, flour, salt, pepper, sugar, onion, sour cream and cheese. Stir and cook over low heat until ingredients are well combined and cheese melted. Add beans, mixing well. Pour into buttered 2-quart casserole. Combine cornflakes with 1 tablespoon melted butter and sprinkle over bean mixture. Bake, uncovered, for 25 minutes. Serves 6.Recipe categories: Side dish, Casseroles, Green/yellow beans.
