- milk - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour
- water - 2 c
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- shortening - 3/4 c
- oleo - 1/2 c
- apples - 1 item
- Glaze:1 c
- Add milk to form dough
How to make apple dumplings:
Crust:2 c. flour2 tsp. baking powder1/2 tsp. milk1 tsp. salt3/4 c. shortening Work shortening into dry ingredients to coarse crumbs. Add milk to form dough. Roll; cut into squares to cover apples. Sprinkle topping over each apple.Topping:1/2 c. sugar1 tsp. cinnamon1/4 tsp. nutmeg Combine ingredients.Glaze:1 c. sugar2 c. water1/2 c. oleo Mix together in saucepan; boil for 3 minutes.
