Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- milk - 1/4 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- flour
- brown sugar - 1 c
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- coconut - 1 c
- oil
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- eggs, well beaten - 3 item
- ground cinnamon - 1 tsp
- chopped apples - 3 c
- Beat eggs well
How to make apple dapple cake:
Heat oven to 350°. Beat eggs well. Add oil, vanilla and sugar. Sift and mix together 2 3/4 cups flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add to egg mixture. Mix additional 1/4 cup flour, apples, nuts and coconut. Fold into cake batter. Pour into a fluted tube pan and bake for 60 to 70 minutes or until tester comes out clean.Topping:1/3 c. butter1 c. brown sugar1/4 c. milk1 tsp. vanilla Mix topping ingredients in a small saucepan and boil for 2 to 3 minutes.
