Ingredients/Components
- diced, tart, unpeeled apples - 4 c
- sugar
- light corn syrup - 1/2 c
- sifted flour - 2 c
- baking soda - 2 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- corn oil - 1/4 c
- large eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- walnuts - 1 c
- raisins
How to make apple cake:
Put apples in large bowl, sprinkle with sugar and drizzle with syrup; let stand 1 hour. Sift together flour, soda, salt and cinnamon. Beat together eggs, oil and vanilla until foamy. Then beat in flour mixture. Stir in apple, sugar and syrup mix. Add and stir in raisins and walnuts. Bake in greased 9 x 11-inch cake pan for 40 to 50 minutes at 350°.
