Wash pears and peel. Cut into squares. Boil them until they fall apart. Press through colander to remove seeds and stems. Measure pulp and add 1 cup... Arrange pear halves on bed of lettuce leaves. Fill each center with heaping tablespoonful of Miracle Whip. Sprinkle generously with shredded cheese. Serve chilled. Makes 6 servings....
