Zucchini pickles
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- salt - 1/4 c
- dry mustard - 1 tsp
- celery salt - 2 tsp
- onions, thinly sliced - 1 qt
- white or apple cider vinegar - 1 qt
- ground turmeric - 2 tsp
- squash unpeeled, cut in 1/4 inch slices - 5 lb
How to make zucchini pickles:
Combine vinegar, sugar, salt, celery salt, turmeric and dry mustard in saucepan, bring to a boil and pour over zucchini and onions. Let stand one hour, stirring occasionally. Pack in hot sterilized jars and seal. Oh, so good.Recipe categories: Squash, Condiments, etc., Vegetables.
