Wilted lettuce
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- vinegar - 1/4 c
- pepper - 1 tsp
- chopped radishes - 8 item
- large bunches of leaf lettuce shredded fine - 2 item
- bunch chopped green onions - 1 item
- pound bacon cooked crisp - 1/2 item
How to make wilted lettuce:
Combine first three ingredients in a large bowl. In a skillet fry bacon until crisp. Remove bacon and crumble. Remove all bacon drippings from skillet except 4 or 5 Tbsp. Add sugar, salt, pepper, vinegar and bring to a boil. You may want to add a Tbsp. water. Pour over lettuce mixture and toss.Recipe categories: American, Salads, Vegetables.
