Ingredients/Components
- milk, scalded - 2 c
- crumbled dry bread - 4 c
- cinnamon - 1 Tbsp
- ground nutmeg - 1 tsp
- sugar - 1 c
- maple syrup - 1/2 c
- eggs, well beaten - 3 item
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- vanilla extract - 1 tsp
How to make bread pudding:
Heat oven to 350°. Combine milk and bread crumbs in a large bowl and allow to soak for 5 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and stir until well blended. Pour into a buttered 9 x 13 x 2-inch baking pan. Bake for 45 minutes, until firm in center and a golden brown. Cool in the pan and cut into squares. May be served plain or with a sauce as a dessert.
