Ingredients/Components
- slices bacon - 3 item
- cup water - 1/2 item
- egg beaten - 1 item
- cup vinegar - 1/2 item
- tablespoons sugar - 2 item
- small onion diced - 1 item
- 1/2 teaspoon salt - 1 item
- head lettuce torn into small pieces - 1 item
How to make wilted lettuce:
Fry bacon until crispy. Remove from skillet and set aside. Into bacon drippings stir, vinegar, water, sugar, salt, onion and egg. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Add lettuce to skillet and toss with hot dressing quickly. Remove to bowl. Crumble bacon on top.Note* Dressing can be made as hot spinach dressing by adding 1 teaspoons Dijon.
