Ingredients/Components
- diced celery - 1 c
- medium onion, minced - 1 item
- can mushrooms - 1 item
- slivered almonds - 1/2 c
- can mushroom soup - 1 item
- bulk pork sausage - 1 lb
- wild rice, soaked overnight - 2/3 c
How to make wild rice casserole:
Soak rice overnight and simmer while preparing the rest of ingredients. Brown meat and drain off liquid. Add onions and celery, mushrooms and soup. Combine in 1 1/2-quart casserole and sprinkle almonds on top. Bake 1 hour at 350°.Recipe categories: Side dish, Casseroles, Rice.
