  • hot water - 1/2 c
  • all-purpose flour

  • soda - 1 tsp
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • butter or margarine, softened - 1 c
  • buttermilk - 1 c
  • eggs - 3 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • chopped nuts - 1/2 c
  • coconut - 1/2 c
  • In mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, soda, baking powder, salt, butter and buttermilk

How to make white chocolate cake:

Melt chocolate and hot water over low heat; cool. In mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, soda, baking powder, salt, butter and buttermilk. Blend at low speed until moistened. Beat one minute at medium speed (scraping bowl). Add eggs, melted chocolate mixture and vanilla. Beat one minute at medium speed. Stir in nuts and coconut. Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes. Bake in two 9-inch pans.Frosting:3/4 c. chopped chocolate2 1/2 Tbsp. flour1 c. milk1 c. butter, softened1 c. sugar1 1/2 tsp. vanilla In saucepan, combine chocolate and flour. Blend in milk. Cook over medium heat (stirring constantly) until very thick (cool completely). In mixing bowl, cream butter, sugar and vanilla. Beat until light and fluffy about 3 minutes. Add cold white chocolate mixture. Beat at high speed until it is like whipped cream.
