White chocolate bread pudding
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 Tbsp
- milk - 1 c
- egg yolks - 8 item
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- heavy cream - 3 oz
- whipping cream - 3 c
- melted white chocolate
- white chocolate - 10 oz
- loaf French bread, sliced in 1/4-inch pieces and dried in oven - 1 item
How to make white chocolate bread pudding:
Sauce:8 oz. melted white chocolate3 oz. heavy cream In bowl, melt white chocolate over double boiler. In large bowl, combine yolks, eggs, sugar, vanilla, whipping cream, milk and salt. Heat over double boiler until warm; blend in chocolate. In coffee cups, place the French bread slices, two slices per cup. Pour mixture into cups and let settle. Top with more mix to be full. Place in shallow pan that has water in it to reach halfway up on cups. Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour at 275°. Remove cover and bake for 15 minutes. Loosen and invert to remove from cup. Mix together the melted white chocolate and heavy cream to create the sauce. Spoon over the puddings and garnish with chocolate shavings.
