Ingredients/Components

  • sugar
  • chopped pecans - 1 c
  • vanilla extract - 1 Tbsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • unbleached flour - 2 c
  • unsalted butter - 1 c
  • large eggs, beaten - 4 item
  • white chocolate broken into small pieces - 10 oz

How to make white chocolate brownies:

Melt butter and chocolate in a heavy sauce pan over low heat. Stirring until smooth. Remove from heat. Stir in the sugar with a wooden spoon. Whisk in the eggs and vanilla.

Add the flour, salt and pecans, stirring to moisten. Line a 9 x 11 inch baking pan with foil, leaving a 1 inch overhang of foil around the edge of the pan. Butter the foil. Pour the batter into prepared pan. Bake at 325° for 30 to 35 minutes or until lightly browned, do not overbake. Let cool to room temperature. Chill for 3 hours before serving. Lift the brownies from the pan using the foil. Cut into 20 to 25 pieces.
