- box German chocolate cake mix - 1 item
- evaporated milk - 2/3 c
- margarine, melted - 3/4 c
- bag caramels - 1 (14
- pkg - 1 oz
How to make turtle cake:
Mix cake as directed on box and add the milk and melted margarine. Pour 1/2 of batter in a greased 9 x 13-inch baking dish and bake for 15 minutes at 350°.Mix caramels and evaporated milk together in a double boiler or microwave. Spread this on the baked cake and sprinkle chocolate chips over this. Pour remaining batter over chocolate chips and bake for another 20 minutes.
