How to make coconut cake:
Prepare cake mix as directed on box, using a 9 x 13-inch baking pan. Using a toothpick, make holes in the cake, at 25 to 30.In a heavy saucepan, heat milk and sugar until sugar dissolves. Pour this mixture onto cake. Mix coconut and Cool Whip and spread onto cake when cool.
