Ingredients/Components
- mayonnaise or salad dressing - 1/4 c
- jar Cheez Whiz - 1 oz
- can tuna, drained and flaked - 1 1/2
- English muffins, split and toasted - 4 item
- can sliced water chestnuts, drained and chopped 1 c - 1 oz
How to make tuna melts:
Combine 1/2 cup Cheez Whiz and mayonnaise. Stir in tuna, water chestnuts and spread onto English muffin halves. Place muffins on the unheated rack of a broiler pan. Broil 4 inches from the heat until heated through. Top each with a dollop of the remaining Cheez Whiz and broil for 30 to 60 seconds more or until Cheez Whiz melts. Serves 4.(Can also use a 15 1/2 ounce can red salmon, drained with skin and bones removed in place of tuna.)
