- sugar
- salt
- vinegar - 1 c
- ripe tomatoes - 1 item
- red pepper to suit taste - 1 item
How to make tomato ketchup:
For every 2 quarts strained tomatoes add:1 c. sugar1 c. vinegar2 level Tbsp. salt red pepper to suit taste Boil ripe tomatoes until soft. Let stand overnight, then drain off juice. Put thick tomatoes through sieve. For every 2 quarts of strained tomatoes add sugar, vinegar, salt and red pepper. Boil about 2 1/2 hours.
