Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 4 c
  • salt - 1/2 c
  • vinegar - 1 qt
  • onions - 1 qt
  • red sweet peppers - 3 item
  • ripe tomatoes - 5 qt
  • green sweet peppers - 3 item
  • green hot peppers - 3 item
  • red hot peppers - 3 item

How to make tomato ketchup:

Cut up tomatoes and onions before measuring. Mix and put in 1/2 cup salt. Mix and let set 2 hours. Drain in colander. Mix with sugar and vinegar. Boil 25 or 30 minutes or to desired thickness. Can and seal.

You can can the juice for soup or meat loaf.
