Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- water - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- cocoa - 4 Tbsp
- buttermilk - 1/2 c
- shortening - 1/2 c
- nuts - 1 item
- box confectioners sugar - 1 item
- eggs, slightly beaten - 2 item
- stick oleo - 1 item
- sweet milk - 7 tsp
- In a saucepan put oleo, shortening and cocoa
How to make texas sheet cake:
Mix in bowl sugar, flour and soda. In a saucepan put oleo, shortening and cocoa. Add 1 cup water and boil. Pour this mixture over the flour mixture. Add buttermilk, eggs and vanilla. Stir and put in a sheet cake pan. Be sure to grease and flour the pan. Bake at 400° for 20 to 25 minutes. Top with Texas Sheet Cake Topping.Icing for Texas Sheet Cake:1 stick oleo4 Tbsp. cocoa7 tsp. sweet milk1 box confectioners sugar1/4 tsp. vanilla nuts In a saucepan, put the oleo, cocoa and sweet milk.
