Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- sour cream - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- water - 1 c
- cocoa - 6 Tbsp
- confectioners sugar - 1 lb
- sticks margarine - 2 item
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- milk or more - 3 Tbsp
- Remove from heat when it boils
How to make texas sheet cake:
Bring margarine, water and cocoa to boil. Remove from heat when it boils. Add (pre-measured) flour, sugar, baking soda and salt. Beat in eggs and sour cream. Bake in a 17 x 13 x 1-inch pan (cookie sheet/jelly roll pan), greased and floured, for 22 minutes at 350°. Do not overbake.Frosting:1 stick margarine1 tsp. vanilla4 Tbsp. cocoa1 lb. confectioners sugar3 Tbsp. milk or more Bring to boil the margarine, vanilla and cocoa. Remove from heat. Add confectioners sugar and milk. Spread over warm cake.Number of Servings: Many. Preparation Time: A total of about 45 minutes, including baking time.
