Teriyaki chicken



  • cornstarch - 1 tsp
  • hot water - 3/4 c
  • teriyaki sauce - 1 Tbsp
  • dry sherry - 2 tsp
  • instant chicken broth and seasoning mix - 1 pkg
  • peanut or vegetable oil - 2 tsp
  • red bell pepper strips - 1/2 c
  • quartered broccoli spears - 1 c
  • each diagonally sliced green onions, carrots and celery thin slices - 1/2 c
  • skinned and boned chicken, cut into thin strips - 6 oz

How to make teriyaki chicken:

In 10-inch skillet or wok, heat oil. Add raw vegetables and stir-fry until tender-crisp, about 5 minutes. In small bowl, combine water, teriyaki sauce, sherry, broth mix and cornstarch, stirring to dissolve broth mix and cornstarch. Add to vegetables and stir to combine thoroughly. Bring to a boil. Add chicken, reduce heat and let simmer until thoroughly heated.
