Taco casserole
Ingredients/Components
- sour cream - 1 c
- shredded Cheddar cheese - 2 c
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- green onions, chopped - 3 item
- can chopped green chilies - 1 oz
- ground chuck - 1 lb
- can refried beans - 1 oz
- jar taco sauce - 1 oz
- can chopped black olives - 1 oz
How to make taco casserole:
Brown meat with onion in skillet, stirring until beef is crumbly; drain. Reserve some of the olives for topping. Layer refried beans, beef mixture, remaining olives, green chilies and cheese in greased 2-quart baking dish. Spread with taco sauce. Bake at 400° for 25 to 30 minutes. Spread with sour cream; sprinkle with green onions and reserve olives. Serve with nacho chips. Yields 6 servings.Recipe categories: Main dish, Casseroles, Ground beef.
