Ingredients/Components
- hamburg, beef or turkey - 1 lb
- chopped onions - 1/2 c
- taco seasoning - 1 pkg
- water - 3/4 c
- shredded Cheddar cheese
- shredded lettuce - 1 c
- chopped tomatoes
- olives, chili, green peppers, jalapenos - 1 item
- flour
- yeast - 1 pkg
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- fine onion - 2 tsp
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- warm water - 2/3 c
- oil - 2 Tbsp
How to make taco bake:
Topping:1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese1 c. shredded lettuce1 1/2 c. chopped tomatoes olives, chili, green peppers, jalapenos Taco Crust:1 3/4 to 2 c. flour1 pkg. yeast1 Tbsp. sugar2 tsp. fine onion3/4 tsp. salt2/3 c. warm water2 Tbsp. oil Brown beef; add remaining ingredients. In medium mixing bowl combine 1 cup of flour, yeast, sugar, onion and salt; mix well. Add warm water and oil. Mix. Stir in 1/2 cup corn chips and flour enough to make stiff batter. Spread in greased 10-inch pie pan. Cover; let rise. Spread meat filling over dough. Bake 30 to 35 minutes. Sprinkle cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, etc., on top.
