Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- ginger - 1 tsp
- cooking oil - 1 c
- allspice - 1 tsp
- cane syrup - 1 c
How to make syrup cake:
Put all the dry ingredients in a large bowl and mix. Add eggs, oil and syrup. Beat well, then add 1 cup boiling water. Beat until the batter is very thin and pour into a large, long greased and floured cake pan. Bake in 350° oven until brown and sort of shiny. Test for doneness.
