  • butter - 1/4 lb
  • nutmeg - 1 tsp
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • buttermilk - 1 c
  • nuts - 1 c
  • cooking oil - 1 c
  • white sugar - 1 c
  • allspice - 1 tsp
  • white corn syrup - 1 Tbsp
  • cooked prunes - 1 c

How to make prune cake:

Stir together until dissolved over medium heat; cook until soft ball. Pour over hot cake left in pan to cool.
