Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- shortening - 1 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- onion flakes - 1 Tbsp
- round steak - 2 lb
- can tomatoes, pureed - 1 item
How to make swiss steak:
Mix flour and salt, then pound into steak with meat mallet. Brown on both sides in shortening. Mix tomatoes and remaining ingredients. Pour on beef. Cook. Cover and simmer 1 hour.Recipe categories: American, Main dish, North american.
